In our present day, the major focus of the church is basically to minister in disciplining and teaching adults with a minimum of programs for children. It is time to move out from our core concern for adult ministry and reach the children, remembering that no children, no future in the church! Education grants their future, so what kind of education should we offer them? In order to reach children with the Word of God, we must focus on instruction in the Christian worldview and values.
Global Educational Network (GEN) is designed to challenge churches around the world to be concerned with children's ministries through networking. Networking with Christian educators and educational designers from other nations who encourage and enforce educational ministries can be accomplished. Such joint endeavors will result in establishing churches with schools so that children have a daily Christian educational opportunity.
Idea and information sharing is an important step to challenge one another to build up cooperation to carry out educational ministries. A paradigm shift must take place in modern ministry patterns in the midst of stronger challenges from politics, other religions, as well as secularism. We must find the solution in the wisdom of Jesus to "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matt. 19:14). Children are our new beginning, and educational networking is the key to unlocking the door to their Godly future.
